This proof usually comes in the form of an “affidavit of service,” which gets notarized and delivered to the person who hired the process server to perform the task. If you end up using this method of process serving then your documents may very likely be delivered late because the deputies are often too busy dealing with real crime to worry about fulfilling their process serving tasks.
